What is Negative Sampling?
A technique to approximate the denominator of the softmax function for efficiency.
Negative sampling updates weights only for a small fraction of the 'negative' classes during training, rather than the entire vocabulary. This drastically reduces computational complexity when dealing with enormous output spaces.
